Our Story

We met at church on an international Sunday service through a mutual friend in September 2017. We immediately hit off as friends after I was trolling her Indian make believe costume.

We stayed in touch from time to time. There was a lot to talk about every time we run into each other. I had always maintained that she’s a gleeful and very happy person; a direct opposite to my pensive and reserve self.

We continued as friends for a while. We went out on a few date nights to the cinema and diner. Some type of bond developed from there afterwards. I took an attraction to her. We grew closer in conversation and confidence but nothing serious blossomed out of it.

There was a dry spell of nothingness but random check ups and conversations.
Covid hit in 2020 drifting us even further apart.

I suddenly called her in January 2021 out of the blue. I missed her and wondered what she was up to after the long hiatus. My response, after she said ‘No’ when I asked if she was in a relationship, was: ‘Thank God! Now I can finally sleep at night.

I never looked back after this response. In February I made my intentions formal and after 3 years and 11 months of dating. I decided to make this glee and happiness an endless one by honoring her love and faithfulness with a ring before God and family.
